Pick a frame layout
The Frame tab is a collage and layout picker — pick how many photos you want to fit, then pick a category that matches the vibe.
Frame in the Gallery is the collage and layout picker. Each frame is a template with a fixed number of photo slots — so the first decision is how many photos you want on the case, then you browse categories for the look.
Where to find it
In the bottom toolbar, tap Gallery → Frame. The grid in the middle shows layouts; the left rail filters them by category.
How layouts work
Every frame has numbered slots — 1, 2, 3, ... up to 15 in some grids. Tap a frame to apply it; tap each numbered slot to add a photo from your camera roll.
Photos in collage slots auto-crop to fit. If you want to fine-tune how a photo sits, switch its auto-layout from Fill to Crop, or use AI Expand to extend the photo cleanly into the slot.
The frame categories
The left rail filters all the frames by theme. The categories rotate seasonally, but the standard set covers:
-
Plain layouts. Clean black-and-gray numbered cells in 2-, 3-, 5-, 6-, 8-, 10-, up to 15-photo grids. The default category and the workhorse for "I just want to fit X photos cleanly."
-
Paper & scrapbook. Polaroid-style cards, taped paper edges, scrapbook page layouts. One or a few photo slots, with a subtle decorative border that frames each photo. Best for casual, personal designs.
-
Animal photo frames. The decoration is a photographed animal sitting next to or peeking around the photo slot — cats, dogs, kittens, puppies. One photo + the animal becomes the design. Best for pet-lover gifts.
-
Decorative borders. Colorful, ornamental frames — rainbow scallops, painted patterns, floral edges. The frame itself is the decoration; the photo just has to be inside.
-
Animal silhouettes. The frame is shaped like an animal — cat outline, paw, etc. The photo fills the silhouette. Striking on a solid background.
-
Holiday — Christmas. Trees, ornaments, snow, red-and-green palette. Single-photo frames with seasonal art around the photo.
-
Holiday — Halloween. Orange-and-black, jack-o'-lanterns, spooky type. Same single-photo-with-art pattern as Christmas.
-
Holiday — Valentine's & hearts. Red palette, hearts as the decoration. Single-photo or two-photo couples layouts.
-
Winter & seasonal animals. Combines themes — animals in snow, holiday-dressed pets. A fun option for pet-loving recipients during the holidays.
The exact thumbnails on a given kiosk depend on what the operator has loaded — most kiosks rotate the holiday categories around the actual calendar so the in-season set sits up top.
When to pick which
| You want… | Reach for… | |---|---| | Multiple photos in a clean grid | Plain layouts | | One photo, casual personal vibe | Paper & scrapbook | | A gift for a pet lover | Animal photo frames or silhouettes | | The frame to be the design | Decorative borders | | A holiday gift case | The matching holiday category | | One photo of a couple | Hearts |
Other ways to lay out your case
Frames are the right call for collages and themed designs. For other looks:
- One great photo on its own. Drop the photo straight onto the case via the Images tab — fast and clean.
- Hand-placed decoration. Stickers layered over a background color let you place each element exactly where you want it.
