Design your first case
From scanning the QR to picking up the finished case — the whole flow in seven steps.
Designing a case is faster than it looks. Everything happens on your phone — the kiosk just kicks things off and prints at the end.
1. Scan the QR to start
Point your phone camera at the QR code on the kiosk and tap the link that pops up. Your phone opens the case designer. No login, no app to install — the whole experience runs in your browser.
2. Pick your phone model
The first screen asks what phone you're designing for.
- Tap your brand — Apple, Samsung, or Google
- Scroll the list and tap your specific model
The print area on the case is shaped to fit your model exactly, including the cutout for your camera. Different models have different print areas, so make sure you pick the right one.
3. Pick a case finish
For most models, you'll pick between two finishes: Clear Frost (translucent, your phone color shows through) and Smoke Frost (tinted gray for a more muted backdrop). Both sit on the same Phantom 3 platform — drop tested, RidgeTech bumper, lifetime warranty. Tap the finish you want and you're into the designer.
4. Design
The Customization Center is where the work happens. The bottom toolbar has five tabs:
- Clear wipes the design and starts over.
- Text drops a text block. Style it with font, color, stroke, and spacing.
- Images uploads from your camera roll. Once a photo is on the case, tap it to rotate, flip, layer, and crop, or use the AI tools to expand it, stylize it, or cut out the subject.
- Background sets the solid color behind your design.
- Gallery browses curated case templates and gives you layouts for collages plus a sticker library.
You can also start with no photo at all — a sticker on a solid background makes a strong, gift-able design in under a minute.
5. Check your score
A row of five stars sits on the left edge of the screen. Each design gets a 1-to-5 read on how it'll print. If anything below 100 surfaces a question mark, tap it to see what's flagged.
The score article covers what each item means and how to nudge it up. A clean five-star design isn't required — the score is a check, not a gate.
6. Pay
When you're happy, tap Pay at the top right and select from the available payment options. The app hands the design over to the kiosk; follow the on-screen instructions to complete payment. Each kiosk supports a different mix of payment methods — pick whichever matches what you have on you.
7. Pick up your finished case
The kiosk starts producing your case as soon as payment lands. The whole production cycle runs in under 3 minutes. Stay near the kiosk — it'll let you know when your case is ready in the pickup compartment.
That's the whole flow. From here, the individual feature articles get into the details on each tool.
